SYNOPSIS:
Maria (Ana Fernandez) languishes in a dark a slum apartment, eventually working as a cleaning lady, and almost forty, discovers she is pregnant by a man who doesn´t love her. Her loneliness is so great that she only finds solace in drink. Her mother (Maria Galiana), who has spent her life living with a violent and intolerant man, does not even have the consolation of having her around. On the occasion of her husband´s hospitalization, the mother visits Maria in her apartment and meets a widowed neighbor (Carlos Alvarez) who lives with his dog. The relationship established between these three castaways relieves their loneliness and leaves the door open to hope.
