SYNOPSIS:
This film recounts the final hours, in 1945, that the dictator Mussolini and Claretta Petacci spent together before being shot, hanged and butchered, as if in a F. Bacon painting. Benito and Claretta were two tragic human beings, worthy of having been created by Shakespeare. We contemplate the final duel between Benito, the man, and his alter ego, the Duce, in the dramatic presence of Claretta Petacci. The lucidity of alienation of the creator of fascism, forces the viewer to fight his own battle, faced with this paradigm of the human being. Mussolini is going to die speaks of a populist fanatic, who bred Hitler, bewitching the world for twenty-three years and leaving a trail of fifty million deaths.
