SYNOPSIS:
Portugal, 1920. Florbela Espanca, a woman ahead of her time and famous poet, is clinging onto a third marriage after two unsuccessful experiences. To please the new man in her life,she tries to behave like a traditional wife. She stops writing, but quickly feel restless and frustrated. When her brother, Apeles, summons her to Lisbon, she runs away from her quiet inner city life to join him. Together, they surf the Bohemian side of the city: alcohol, political rallies, dances and their intense mutual attraction. Florbela feels split between two forces: the love of her husband and the excitement that Apeles brings.
