SYNOPSIS:
João Vuvu, a widower with no family except for a son in prison, lives in a house of considerable wealth in one of the old quarters of Lisbon. Hardly sociable at all, Mr Vuvu takes his daily bus ride, repeating the same route indefatigably. The house begins to urgently require the services of a housekeeper. His son´s release from prison and the disappointment that his desire for regeneration causes the father triggers a series of shady events that reveal the protagonist´s criminal character ... João César Monteiro´s cinematic last will that tells the story of an old man who lives alone. It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2003, three months after the death of the filmmaker.
