SYNOPSIS:
A personal journey in which Javier Bardem guides the audience through the tortuous path of world diplomacy and the terrible reality of an abandoned people, seeking to understand how we got into this situation and how one could avoid another war in Africa. The documentary examines the current political turmoil in North Africa and the responsibility of the powers (especially the United States and France) through the army of Realpolitik (foreign policy based on practical and economic interests rather than ethical or theoretical) in their international political strategies. These policies have created great instability which has ultimately caused great violence and chaos. The film focuses on the situation in Western Sahara, the last colony in Africa according to the UN, and a region on the brink of war.
