SYNOPSIS:
El Cuaderno de Barro (the Mud Notebook) is a documentary Isaki Lacuesta conceived in collaboration with the painter Miquel Barceló. For over twenty years, the Spanish artist has been living in Africa for long periods. There he has learned to paint between termites and scorpions, before the heat dries the paint and the wind carries away the canvases. At the top of the cliff of Bandiagara, Barceló presents, together with choreographer Josef Nadj, the ´performance´ Paso Doble and reveals for the first time the secrets of his African workshop.
