Some people know that Tom Zé is the man behind Tropicalismo, that movement at the end of the 60´s which showed the potential and voracity of a young Brazil, eager to incorporate the world into its art and vice versa. There are those who believe that Tom Zé was not part of that because, basically, his way of seeing art did not fit any movement. His life has all the ingredients of an interesting biography: talent, opportunity, success, forgetfulness, withdrawal, ostracism, rediscovery and return.
